Release: advASCIIdraw - the advanced ASCII art program

Postby Paul » Sat Mar 16, 2013 20:01

Yep. It's a thing now.

Do you want to know more?
advASCIIdraw was originally designed as a program to quickly design levels and environments for roguelike, dungeon crawler type games. But it has grown to be much more than that. In fact, it is the ideal tool for any kind of ASCII art.

Its features are powerful and enable the creative to be.. creative! (also to make cool ASCII art)

So, what are you waiting for? Head over to the website of advASCIIdraw.
There is a gallery of pictures, list of features, various other things, and most importantly a free download!

So, download, create, come back and share!

You know, there was an RP on The Agora a while ago (the deer goddess one?) that used custom DF-like ASCII art. This looks like it'd be perfect for something like that. Well done.

Maybe I will read a bit into that if I find the time. Just bookmarked it.
That kind of game (/its art style) was certainly exactly the reason advASCIIdraw was ever started.

So, it would be awesome if it helps people create such games!
